“There was no doubt about it;This bachelor was transparently, over flowingly, invincibly happy, his out-giving tremendous” - Page # 169

“During the next few days his wisdom was remembered like piano-chords underneath a running melody” - Page # 170
“Man of Wisdom” and “Holy Man” ; were the terms considered synonymous ? If so, this holy ma (of South India) bore little outward resemblance to that of the holy man, Swami Swarupananda Paramhansa. For this one did not smile: this one looked as if he had lived a long time in the desert” - Page # 206

Comment By: Sri Fotikchandra Ganguly- B.A, B.T Head Master – Murad Nagar,Durga Ram HIGH English School. Book Ref.: Sangjom –Procharey Swarupananda.
It was his sweet grace that Swami Swarupananda presided over the prize-giving meeting of Murad-Nagar Durga-Ram High English School on the 18th May, 1931. His speech was non-political and non-sectarian,- it was purely cultural. The depth of his knowledge, the breadth of his views, the fascinating way of his delivery and his sonorous voice held the audience spell-bound for the time he spoke, which he did in sweet silken accents.
The speech was a clear indication that the Swamiji had made a careful and sympathetic study of the different religious scriptures and toleration was the key-note of the speech. He referred to the saints and seers of the different religious so as to bring home that their goal was the same, though their methods differed, the goal of union with the Supreme Being and explained how religion, if properly understood and practiced, can lessen rather that increase the clash between man and man and bring about peace and amity on earth. While the Swami gave illustration after illustration from the Mahommedan Religious scriptures of the high moral and spiritual Islamic principles, the Muslim audience was taken by surprise how a Hindu Sannyasi could know so much of Islam and Islamic culture.
The most important part of his speech related to the use of School and College libraries. He stressed the importance of the making the best use of these Libraries, regretted their present neglect and grave practical suggestion as to how we can utilize them and make them the means of our intellectual, moral and spiritual welfare. The speech struck the heart and captured the imagination of the audience. It need hardly be added that it told and left an abiding impression.

Comment By: Sri Basanta Kumar Roy -B.A Head Master – Jahapru Kamolakanta Academy, Tripura. Book Ref.: Sangjom –Procharey Swarupananda.
“His holiness the saint of Pupunki Ayachak Brahmacharya Ashram (Swami Swarrupananda Paramhansa ) had been once to Jahapur and address my students on the utility of Brahmacharya as a means to moral and physical health to men. The address was highly ennobling, enlightening and enlivening. The inimitable style in which he spoke, flow of oratory bubbling with life and sparking with light, kept the whole audience literally spell-bound. He spoke not only with ‘head in tongue’ (like the common run up lecturers) , but also with ‘heart on lips’ and hence his address appealed irresistible both to head and heart of all. In this speech he fingered the plague –spots in the life of young students with the insight of a surgeon and sympathy of a saint and suggested safe-guards against the seductive influences of senses which lead fellow young stars invariably to vortex of vices. Such an illuminating and inspiring address is the need of the hour to stay the hands of inexperienced and ignorant youths with which they dig their own grave.”

Comment By: Sri Suresh Chandra Chakrobarty –M.A, B.T Head Master – Laksham High School, Tripura. Book Ref.: Sangjom –Procharey Swarupananda.
“One Sunday morning an ascetic was seen clearing the bathing ghat (near the school), over-grown with turf and weeds. This drew the attention of a number of students of the hostel close by. They all gathered round him and welcome him to the hostel. Here he was recognized by an assistant teacher to be the famous Swami Swarupanandaji of Pupunki Ashrama. This was during the days of his silence. On subsequent occasions Swamiji delivered four lectures in the premises of the school. His style was quite fascinating and learned, worthy of his erudition. His clear exposition of the principles of Brahmachaya was inspiring even to a moral wreck. As a result boys gathered round him and sought interviews They found in him a friend, philosopher and guide. He won the hearts of all, so much so that even boys whom undesirable companions led astray ,opened their hearts to him without the least reservation, He is a born teacher,- a moral teacher. To my sincere joy, he moulded some characters which are simply admirable”

“I am extremely glad to be able to place on record a few lines in appreciation of the soul stirring lecture the Holy Swami Swarupanandaji was good enough once to deliver before the boys of the Kasba H.E. School, dwelling at lentg on Brahmacharya or Continence, Himself a Brahmachary of a very high order he has every right and fitness to discourse on this most important subject. The mode of delivery was excellent and the boys heard his lecture with rapt attention, 1st was couched in such a fine and soulful language and the inspirations it imparted were so noble and edifying that the boys were kept spell-bound so long as the lecture lasted. The boys were so charmed at what they found in and heard from him that even now they are requesting me to have him in our midst again. He is second to none as a moral teacher.”

“Sree Sree Swarupnandaji was once kind enough to address the student of my school on ‘Brahmacharya’. The lecture was delivered before a distinguished gathering including the students. It was surcharged with high moral tone, lofty ideas and good reasoning’s easy enough for the young boys to follow. He urged the young student to imbibe the spirit of self-denial from their very infancy in order to attain the high standard of morality and personal purity. His lecture was purely philosophical and had no tincture of politics. His motto was to revive the past glory of India through the principle of ‘plain living and high thinking.’ The lecture was appreciated by all present. The outstanding feature of his speech was that he kept his kept his audience spell-bound from the beginning to the end who listened to him with almost breathless eagerness.”

Comment By: Sri Atul Chandra Dutt- M.A Head Master – Pachgow Gupta High School, Noyakhali, Bangladesh. Book Ref.: Sangjom –Procharey Swarupananda.
At my earnest request Sree Sree Swami Swarupnandaji was kind to pay a visit to my school in 1932. He delivered a lecture on Brahmacharya in a meeting in which almost all the students, the teachers and some of the local gentlemen were present. Swamiji dwelt at great length on the moral degradation of the present-day students and their consequent discomfiture in every field of action. He advised the boys to practice Brahmacharya from their early life. His speech made a deep impression on the minds of all who heard him. I am glad to say that some of my boys are still practicing ASHANAS as instructed by the Swamiji. In these days of physical and hence intellectual deterioration of the boys on account of their loose morals, the Country should be over flooded by hundreds of Brahmacharins like Swarupanandaji, whose mission of the life will be to visit every school as many times as possible and to impress upon the minds of the young hopefuls of the Country the necessity of practicing continence.”

Comment By: Sri Gopal Chandra Mukharjee- B.L Head Master – Hasnali Jublee High English School, Chandpur, Bangladesh. Book Ref.: Sangjom –Procharey Swarupananda.
“Swami Swarupnandaji delivered a lecture on Brahmacharya in my school. The lecture was highly instructive and appreciated by the students. He showed to the boys a few Yogic Exercises which build up the body and at the same time help Brahmacharya. We take pride in the Swami as he was once a student of our school. The Swami has demonstrated what a man of pure heart can accomplish by the dint of self –help alone. He is a man of wonderful capacity for work. I verily believe his life itself is a beacon-light which will illuminated the paths of many travelers is life, who are propping in the dark. May the mission of the Swami find fulfillment to the great advantage of the student’s community which for want of teaching in Brahmacharya is going down every day.”

Comment By: Sri Upendra Chandra Das Gupta- B.L Head Master – Magura High English School, Josshore,Bangladesh. Book Ref.: Sangjom–Procharey Swarupananda.
“ Paramhansa Srimat Swami Swarupananda came to Magura in pursuit of his mission as the great preacher of Brahmacharya and self reliance and stayed at Ananda Bhawan for a few days. I approached him with a request that he might be pleased to address my students in the school premises and in spite of difficulty owing to his pre-engagement elsewhere he accepted the invitation with a readiness worthy of a man who had dedicated his life and soul to the teaching of mankind punctual to the minute he reached my school at 3.p.m on 17.11.1933 and began to deliver his instructive lecture. He spoke one after another on early rising, regulating sleep, physical exercise, prayer choice of companions, restraint on speech, self examination and other topics in-separable connected with the doctrine of Brahmacharya . Much that he said was known and much that he said was unknown to his audience, but the impressive way in which he dealt with his topics was all new and gave a tone and air of novelty even to the commonest topics . When he began to deal with the topic of the preservation and growth of semen, I began really to apprehend lest the effect of his instructive lecture should be spoilt by any unworthy manifestation of frivolities such as secret smiles and gestures. But I was simply astonished to find that he spoke on the subject with such an awe-inspiring gravity and tactfulness that the boys were all kept spell-bond and had no time even to think of any frivolity. His masterly command over the Bengali language gave an additional charm to what he said. The sweetness of his voice and the excellent style and fluency of his speech helped to create great impression upon his audience. He never said ‘This is good because a great sage says that it is good. He supported all his teaching with logical and scientific reasoning that showed the vastness of his reading and the depth of his thinking. The touches of humour that he gave to his address here and there with the skill of a grate speaker acted like the touches of a magical wand to refresh the mind of his audience and kept if always eagerly prepared to receive his instruction. Above all, his lecture was completely free from any sectarian or communal spirit and any man of any creed or caste might profitably and thankfully hear it without feeling offended in the least.
“May this great teacher of mankind live long to make the mission of his life successful”
