It should be noted that there are two different forms of the spiritual master. One is called his vapuh, his physical presence. And the other is called his vani, his vibrational presence. Although the physical presence is more easily experienced and appreciated, the vibrational presence, although more subtle and difficult to experience, is many, many times more important.
Vapuh, the physical presence of the spiritual master is when he is present with us in his physical body. We can see him. We can hear him speak. We can personally serve him. We might even get the good fortune to receive something directly from his hand, or to receive a flower garland that he has personally worn. We also may be able to render him some personal service such as cooking for him, doing his laundry, or driving him somewhere he needs to go in our car.
Vani, the vibrational presence is the instructions we receive from the spiritual master. This can be in the form of something he personally told us or it can be a general instruction that he has given to everyone. The instruction can be spoken. It can be on an audio or video recording. Or it can be written in a letter, book, or article. No matter in which way the instruction is given and received, it is fully active and potent.
By comparative analysis it can be seen that vani is more important than vapuh. Why is that? This is so because vani is always available to us at every minute. Vapuh may be there, or it may not be there. The spiritual master cannot be in every place at once. And some day he will physically depart from this world of birth and death. He will return to the Spiritual Sky. He will not remain us forever in his physical presence. But vani is eternal. This presence of the spiritual master is never separated from the heart of the dedicated disciple.
By fully connecting with the order we have received from our spiritual master we will always feel his presence, his guidance, and his blessings. We will always feel how he is lovingly watching over us and protecting us at every minute just like a guardian angel.
Just as my spiritual master was blessed with the order to spread Akhanda(OM) consciousness to the Bengali-speaking world, he blessed me and all other disciples with the order NOT to become gurus but to spread his VANI to the whole world. By remaining ever dedicated to this order we are feeling his divine presence, blessings, and guidance at every minute. We are never feeling that we are alone. And we are never losing our enthusiasm because we are always feeling that he is with us looking out for us and protecting us.
One simply has to embrace the order received from the spiritual master as one's very life and soul. In this way one will always feel his presence very strongly and will always feel enthusiasm whether he is physically present or not. One will always be with him. The spiritual master lives forever by his divine instructions, and the disciple lives with him.
Problem starts when some disciples think He/She is at the same place of this GREAT spiritual master and tried to be a GURU by replacing the original one and a bunch of humbug fools gladly accept this wrong person as a GURU and tried their label best to spread this false person as a GURU.
